Application of Flat Management in Forwarding Enterprise A

Article Abstract: The currently raging global financial crisis is driving the export volume down by a great deal, as a result of which in the forwarding market, a buyer＇s market right now, the direct shippers are more and more rigorous about the price of the forwarding services provided. -Therefore, for the international forwarding enterprises, usually operating as non-vessel common carriers, the awareness of the changing market prices and the quick responsiveness thereto have assumed grave importance. However, the vertically-structured organization management still predominant in these enterprises is somewhat detrimental to responding quickly and accurately. The paper studies the structural characteristics of flat organization management and, then from there, attempts to improve the current organizational structure of the forwarding enterprise A to deal with the related problems faced by it.
