Preparation and Catalytic Performance for p-Cresol Oxidation of Co~(2+) and Cu~(2+) Loaded TiO_2 Catalysts



A series of supported catalysts was prepared by wetness impregnation method with TiO_2 as substrate.The surface structures of the catalysts were characterized by XRD and IR.The catalysts prepared were used in the oxidation of p-cresol to p-hydroxybenzaldehyde.The results show that when the molar ratio of cobalt ions and copper ions was 1∶0.5,the catalyst had the best catalytic effect.Under optimized reaction conditions,the conversion of p-cresol was nearly 100%,the selectivity of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde was 95.2%.
